Hidden Ridge Vineyards

A joint venture between one man and time; Lynn Hofacket developed raw land that hadn’t been touched for an eon and turned it into one of Northern California’s most exciting vineyards. Hand cleared, planted and trellised by Hofacket, Hidden Ridge is fifty five acres of ultra premium Cabernet Sauvignon located on the West side of Spring Mountain. The guidance of consulting winemaker Marco Di Giulio brought Hidden Ridge Cabernet to fruition in 2003 with its first release…and the beginning of a completely new age on top of Spring Mountain. 

Hidden Ridge Vineyards lie in Mayacamas Mountain Range between Napa & Sonoma County; accessible only from Spring Mountain road in St. Helena

• 55 Acres of steep formidable terrain produces high– quality, low-yield fruit
• Uplifted & faulted over time. The vineyard has round river rocks found on the tops of ridges
•  Volcanic basalt & sandy clay loam soils
•  Divided into 21 blocks using 4 clones; 4, 337, 7 & 169
•  Planted with inside & outside row on terraces, VSP trellis system, modified to allow late afternoon shade
