Ripe citrus summer fruit, peach, pear, aligned with a touch of vanilla and smoke. Partially barrel fermented this classic Sonoma County chardonnay offers inviting stone fruit aromas, accented by notes of tropical fruit. The well"balanced acidity supports a core of pear and sweet melon and complements a creamy texture. The wine has a clean, refreshing finish.
Our Sonoma County Chardonnay showcases fruit from all over the county. For this 2008 Chardonnay we also sourced grapes from Carneros, Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma Coast and Sonoma Valley.
Classic winemaking techniques including barrel fermentation and five months sur lie aging in small French and American oak barrels impart richness and complexity to the wine. The majority of the blend underwent malolactic fermentation.
